Littlemore Local History Society

Down Railway Lane

Important notice: Due to the current coronavirus epidemic, we regretfully have to announce that our indoor in-person meetings are cancelled until further notice. We feel that it is our responsibility to avoid risking the health and welfare of our members and visitors.

Our season of history talks has now moved online using the Zoom platform.

We are a friendly group of people with a shared interest in the local history of Littlemore, Sandford and the surrounding area.

We have 7 monthly meetings where invited speakers present illustrated talks about a wide range of topics of interest, three guided walks around the area looking at specific sites of historical interest, and in safer times, regularly held two social events including a barn dance with live music.

We are actively involved in a range of projects and are open to new suggestions.

Membership fee is £12 per calendar year (January to December), for which you receive free entry to meetings (online or in-person) and walks (Midsummer frolic not included). Non-members are welcome at all of our talks and walks, at a cost of £3 per person per event.
